Spoke Art is excited to announce the twelfth iteration of The Moleskine Project, our most beloved and longest running exhibition. This dynamic group show has included hundreds of emerging and established artists from around the world utilizing the humble pages of the ubiquitous sketchbook.
Each artist is provided with a blank Moleskine book to create an original piece within the pages of the book. Ranging from graphite sketches to paper sculptures, plein air paintings to embroidered portraits – each work is an intimate glimpse into each artist’s practice and transforms the familiar pages into something extraordinary. Originating in 2011, the exhibition was conceived and co-curated for many years by Rod Luff.
Since the first exhibition at our original location on Sutter Street in San Francisco, the Moleskine Project has traveled to One World Observatory in New York City, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Mesa, AZ and been collected into three compendium books.
Join Spoke Art for the opening of The Moleskine Project XII on Saturday, January 11th with a reception from 5-7 pm. Many of the artists will be in attendance.
