Gucci continues its transition with Sabato De Sarno at the helm, and the brand’s new vision can be seen. Gucci is getting its footing, leaving me with that giddy excitement that brought me to the brand decades ago.
De Sarno continues to pull from the archives to refresh House emblems and silhouettes. While Gucci Spring 2025 showcased much of this, we also loved to see what people carried to the show, and the fashion crowd brought the good Gucci goods.
Gucci Bags In The Wild
One fan-favorite bag is the new Gucci Milano Top Handle, which features extra volume with its puffed leather and GG logo embossing. It is available in the now iconic Gucci Ancora Rosa and bright green leather, which appears to be a new prominent color for the house and is seen in the Spring 2025 collection, too.
We also saw the new B Bag, which gives me a throwback vibe to the Gucci Horsebit Shoulder Bag, make its appearance. This bag has all the right kinds of archival touches.
The Blondie was the other bag we saw most prominently, and again, leave it to Gucci to perfect the look of old meets new. I love this bag for many reasons, and seeing it carried on others only furthers my adoration.
We also saw the classic Jackie, which was carried by many attendees, including Jessica Chastain. Sure, I’ll get my Jackie out of my closet to emulate her style any day of the week.
Overall, the Gucci collection on the runway was strong, but so were the looks of the people attending the show. This was the most beautiful and relatable feeling I’ve had for Gucci in a few years, and that fashion-loving side of my heart is happy to see it.
