La Luz de Jesus Gallery is excited to present two exhibitions Insatiable Vicariousness and JK Russ & Hudson Marquez. Both open June 7th at 4633 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027.
Insatiable Vicariousness is a solo exhibition from prolific artist Wick Alexander, most known for his public art mosaics across SoCal, with several encompassing paintings of American communal culture, from festivals to conventions with a style that encourages viewers to look for quirky characters amongst the crowds of weirdos.
JK Russ & Hudson Marquez exhibit the newest works from these respective artists. JK Russ creates collages that explore the hype around the sex industry within tourism of the desert landscapes of Nevada. Hudson Marquez, most known for his founding of the Ant Farm Collective, exhibits several works reminiscent of pulp magazines in an ironic fashion.
Opening reception is June 7th, from 7pm to 11pm at La Luz de Jesus Gallery. Free admission to the public. Exhibition closes June 30th, 2024.
