Designer Spotlight: Favorite Gnome – Cross-StitchDesigner Spotlight: Favorite Gnome – Cross-StitchLast year I did a roundup of snowflake cross stitch patterns, but I barely scratched the surface of what is available, so here are a few more patterns for you to try!

If you like a fancy snowflake cross stitch pattern, try this one from AOK Corral. There are five different snowflakes in the pattern and they are meant to be stitched with seed beads for extra bling. Or you could try using metallic thread if you’d rather.

There’s something about white snowflakes stitched on a dark blue background that just makes them look that much prettier. This collection of five hoops from Lagodargentoshop gives you plenty of options for adding cross stitch to your winter decor. Each design fits in a 4-inch hoop (one is shown above; click through to see all the options).

Looking for a variety of snowflakes you can stitch into a hoop sampler style? This collection from Jennifer’s Little World has 15 options and she also has a pattern with them worked in a hoop if you want to go that route. Individual snowflakes would be cute stitched on napkins or used as a border on another project, too.

Cinnamon Stitching has a pretty snowflake worked in three different colors, and while it calls for light effects thread you could use whatever thread you have on hand instead. At 43 by 43 stitches, it measure 3 inches/7.7 cm square, perfect for displaying in a 4-inch hoop.

Of course any snowflakes can be stitched in any color you like, but I wanted to share some stitched in different colors just to give you some ideas. Red snowflakes are a classic, especially if your decor has Scandinavian flair, and this one from Crossy Foxy is darling (I love the gingham ribbon with it, too).

Or you can go with a less traditional but still pretty color like the ones in this kit from Stitch Happy Store. The kit includes supplies to make one full hoop but the patterns for all three options shown. You can choose peach, mustard or plum thread and will also receive coordinating velvet ribbon to use as a hanger for display purposes.
